Clean air begins with awareness, and sometimes the most powerful solutions start in the classroom. On the 2nd of February 2026, Earthly Touch Organization conducted an air pollution awareness campaign. The campaign took place at a local school, where 72 grade 8 learners took part in a hands-on activity that transformed plastic waste into 43 ecobricks in just one hour.

The session introduced students to the connection between plastic waste, burning, and air pollution, while giving them a practical alternative. Learners arrived prepared with plastic bottles and waste from their homes, demonstrating strong enthusiasm and a willingness to be part of the solution. By physically creating ecobricks, students experienced how simple everyday actions can help reduce pollution and protect community health.

Beyond the numbers, the campaign showed the power of youth engagement. The activity encouraged learners to continue collecting waste from their homes, schools, and neighborhoods, proving that small individual efforts can build into meaningful environmental change.

Most importantly, the campaign planted a powerful idea: when young people are equipped with knowledge and practical tools, they can become champions for cleaner air and healthier communities.
