Residents joined efforts to clean illegal dumping sites, improve community hygiene, and raise awareness about actions that support better air quality.

Waste burning and illegal dumping releases harmful gases, toxic chemicals, and particulate matter into the air, reducing air quality and harming human health. By cleaning up waste, the community helps reduce air pollution and promote a healthier environment. On the 2nd of December 2025, Enzokuhle Community Waste Collection and Cleaning Services conducted a community cleaning campaign aimed at addressing air pollution, promoting environmental sustainability, and improving public health and community well-being.
The initiative focused on improving environmental cleanliness, encouraging community participation, and raising awareness about how proper waste management contributes to cleaner air and healthier living conditions. By clearing illegal dumping sites and removing accumulated waste, the campaign helped reduce pollution risks and protect public health.
During the campaign, participants collected litter and illegal dumping waste, cleaned streets and open spaces, separated recyclable materials, and held awareness sessions highlighting the link between waste management and air quality. Refuse bags and protective equipment were also distributed to support the activities. As a result, the targeted areas became noticeably cleaner, waste was properly disposed of, and community awareness about environmental responsibility increased.
The campaign strengthened cooperation among community members and received positive feedback from residents and stakeholders. It also reinforced Enzokuhle’s commitment to supporting community-led initiatives that contribute to cleaner air, healthier environments, and more sustainable communities.
