On 2 March 2026, Seriti Institute, in partnership with the Clean Air Fund and the City of Johannesburg, conducted a site visit to Willow Crescent School in Eldorado Park.
What was initially presented as a school food garden revealed critical gaps in infrastructure, production, and technical capacity. Recognising the opportunity, Seriti committed to transforming the space into a functional, productive garden supporting food security, learning, and skills development. Seriti implemented and trained the New Pathways team, ensuring practical skills transfer and strong ownership. This approach enables long-term sustainability and complete ownership.
