Clean air requires collective action against everyday environmental challenges. Qalakabusha Home Base Care, on the 14th of March, 2026, hosted a community awareness campaign in Riverlea aimed at reducing air pollution caused by illegal dumping and waste burning.

The campaign combined education with practical action, highlighting how dumping sites often lead to waste burning, which harms air quality and community health. Participants learned about the health risks of polluted air and were encouraged to adopt responsible waste management practices. As part of the initiative, volunteers and community members worked together to clean a long-standing illegal dumping site near a local school, while “No Dumping” signage was installed to prevent future misuse.

The three-hour campaign engaged over 30 participants and received positive feedback, with many residents acknowledging the seriousness of air pollution in their area. Overall, the initiative successfully raised awareness, encouraged community involvement, and marked an important step toward cleaner air and a healthier environment.
